North Western, Stockport 273, BJA429, a Bristol L5G with a Willowbrook B38R body is seen in Stockport on the parking area behind Mersey Square.
The 7' 9" wide body, had been new in 1952 on 1940 Bristol L5G 991, AJA 191, when it was rebodied to become 991A, and was fitted to BJA429 in 1958, as a replacement for the original Brush B35R one fitted when BJA 429 was new as number 129 in 1946, with the resultant combination being numbered 991A in 1958, and being again renumbered to 273 in March 1960. One of Stockport's Leyland bodied PD2s passes along Wellington Road South.
