For a short period Nostalgiabus, Mitcham ran a limited stop service as route 306 from Kingston to Epsom in competition with Arriva route 406 from Kingston to Crawley via Epsom and Redhill (every 30 minutes) and here in Cromwell Road Bus Station in Kingston is RM2156, CUV156C, waiting for its return journey time.
Ian's Bus Stop records that, after London Transport, this passed in February 1988 to Burnley & Pendle, in July 1992 to Southend Transport (not used), in November 1992 to Taffell, Ruislip, in 1993 loaned to Routemaster Buses, Bournemouth, passing in November 1994 to Timebus, St. Albans. By 1997 it was with Watford & District who ceased trading in March 1997 when it passed to Nostalgiabus, Mitcham who used it frequently on route 306 in October 1999.
It passed in February 2004 to Davies, Gloucestershire and was exported to Spain in August. By September 2000 Nostalgiabus were running route 306 as Banstead - Epsom - Walton-on-the-Hill (Howard Close) (Mon - Sat) and this was still current in the May 2001 Surrey C.C. timetable, having been back projected from Banstead to Sutton from May 2001.
