Emerging from the dark railway arches in Swinegate at the junction with Mill Hill, on the left, is Leeds Middleton bogie 263, one of seventeen built especially for high-speed operation on the Middleton Light Railway.
It had a Brush 40/30 body on Maley & Taunton swing-link bogies and had been new on 30th March 1935. It last ran in service in July 1956 and was burned in Low Fields Road Yard on 4th December.
