Halifax 89, DCP833, new in February 1954, was a Daimler CVG6 with a Roe H33/25R body and was seen passing along St. James's Road at the top end of Crossfield Bus Station in Halifax.
This, along with the others in the batch, was later (1957/8) fitted with a Leyland O.600 engine as the Gardner 6LW was found inadequate to cope with the Halifax operating terrain with the heavier Roe body. They were later reseated to H35/26R and 89, was withdrawn early in 1970 before the renumbering, passing to Smith (Glen Taxis), Shipley in September 1970; to Taylor, East Morton, also in September and to Lockyer (dealer), Barnsley in October 1971 for scrap.
