SELNEC (Southern) towing wagon, a Leyland Titan PD2/3 new to Ashton-under-Lyne Corporation (7) with Leyland H30/26R body in 1950. Renumbered 6 in 1960 it was rebuilt as a towing vehicle just prior to the formation of SELNEC PTE.
Pictured in the depot yard at the Frederick Road, Salford (Central Division) recovering an unidentified Roe-bodied PD2 that had broken down whilst working the jointly operated 64/66 Ashton-Manchester-Peel Green service. I believe the towing wagon was later preserved.
