Southend Corporation 314, PHJ953, a Leyland PD3/6 with Massey 68 seat lowbridge body, only two months old when this photo was taken.
Broadway Market was used as the starting point for a number of services from the centre of Southend including at the time the 8 to Rayleigh.
Note the curious slogan used by Plumley's, a "Gents Misfits" shop
