Southend 266, HGF918, an ex-London Daimler CWA6, D241, new in 1946 and seen here with a 1954 Massey L27/28R body was one of thirteen chassis acquired from London Transport Executive in 1954 which were rebodied before entering service.
Alongside is 232, BHJ806, one of Southend's own utility bodied Daimler CWs which had been rebodied by Massey in 1953.
