Seen on the parking area at Mount Street/Granby Street, Nottingham is Barton, Chilwell 790, XVO790, which was a Leyland PS1/B with a Northern Counties L31/30RD body new in June 1958.
The chassis had been reconstructed from Barton 552, KAL 149, a Leyland PS1/1 new in 1948 with a Duple C39F body. 790 was withdrawn in April 1974, passing to Ensign (dealer), Hornchurch in October, and to Jones (dealer), Baltimore, Maryland in December, thence to Great Knight Tours, Atlanta, Georgia by April 1988.
