Eastern National 1112, LEV917, a Leyland Titan PD1/1 with Leyland/Alexander O33/26R body.
Originally part of the City Coach fleet, it passed to Westcliff-on-Sea in 1952 and then to Eastern National before conversion to open top in 1958. Later numbered 2102.
In the background, the line of posts going out to sea was part of the defences constructed during WWII to reduce the width of the entrance to the Thames to try and prevent U boats from slipping in.
