LTE679 was a Burlingham-bodied halfcab AEC Regal III 9621E new to Barnes, Rawtenstall in 1950. At some time in the mid-1950s it had been rebuilt with a full-front by Plaxton who managed to do a very neat job of blending their Venturer style front with the original Burlingham body.
In 1963 it had been acquired from Welsh, Peterlee by Halifax building contractor J. & J. Fee for staff transport, who continued to run it for several years.
