A contrast of high and low/old and new. United BBL67, PHN829, a 1952 Bristol KSW6B with lowbridge ECW bodywork - until this year, this red double decker (you know what's coming) served abroad, mainly in Switzerland, for 18 years, as a "London bus".
While it unloads passengers after their free round trip, a new Go Ahead Northern centre staircase bus fills up in front (Apathy Alert! details not relevant to this site). If stairs on older buses were like those in submarines, this new one resembles the long sweep of the Titanic's grand staircase!
