A Darlington reunion – Darlington Corporation 7 displayed alongside the sort of United bus that was on the way out when 7 was new. This view shows the tinted Perspex roof panels which took quite a scratching from trees overhanging with clearances only for single deckers that serve the pretty village roads of Cleadon and Whitburn.
Dating from 1950, United's BG 413, LHN860, was a Bristol L5G ECW B35F converted from rear-entrance to front-entrance for OMO, one man operation, in 1960. Withdrawn in 1966, BG413 later had a high profile resurrection in the long-running TV series "Heartbeat" – as the indicator and justification of a table remind us.
