Railway wagons for the Fairfield Shipyard in Govan were worked along the tram track to the shipyard, hauled by the shipyard's electric loco. While the trams were still running this would have carried a bow collector as used on the trams. Later, although the tram track was retained for its use, it used the trolleybus overhead and was fitted with double trolley poles. Here it leaves the shipyard on its way to Govan Goods Station.
A brief sequence of this is included in a video on YouTube called Glasgow Trams, South and East. The clip of the Fairfield shipyard loco is at 3m:37s, and there is a clip of another shipyard working (with a steam loco) at 3m:03s.
