Tyneside 48, NNL48, a Leyland PD3/4 with Metro Cammell Orion H41/32R body, one of three PD3s received by Tyneside in 1958, fleet numbers 48 to 50.
After a short period of loan to Percy Main, they settled down to a long life on the 'green bus' route from North Shields to Newcastle. Finished to a more basic specification than the Tynemouth batch, they were still attractive and comfortable buses. By 1971 they had gone to the parent company, Northern General, as driver training buses with the second of the batch, 49, being re-built as the 'Tynesider'.
