Eastern National
'Sold On' FLFs and VRs

AVW398F was new to Eastern National in July 1968 as 2929. In 1973, it was one of the FLFs converted by ENOC for one man operation, but saw little service in that guise. By December 1982, it had been sold on through dealer Norths of Sherburn to independent Fowler's of Holbeach Drove. It was withdrawn in July 1988, and sold to dealer Joe Sykes of Carlton by January 1989.
Thereafter, AVW was exported to the Netherlands, and was operated as The London Rolling Party Pub (and also known as Lady Diana) by R.Oude-Rengerink of Oldenzaal. In August 1986, tour operator Munckhof Reisen Group, based in Horst, Netherlands, acquired the bus and continued to hire it out in the same livery. Sometime in 1998, the bus was transferred to another company in the Munckhof group - apparently in Chemnitz, former East Germany. Paul did a 150km detour on his way home from Brussels to shoot this picture of AVW at an event in Venlo. The ENOC OMO conversion is still intact!
