Another 1965 delivery, LWC 665C (2839) was transferred to Eastern Counties in 1973, and then withdrawn in 1981. After a period at Norths (dealer) of Sherburn, it wound up with Argas Persicus Travel Ltd in London, later Top Deck Travel by July 1983.
Named "Loft", Paul first came across this bus when it was out of use and stored at the Chelsea depot of Top Deck in May 1996. Its future was uncertain then, but he was later pleasantly surprised to overtake it on his way back from holidaying in France, as it was chugging happily up the A10 Autoroute near Tours. Not easy to take a picture under those circumstances, but he stopped for a while at the next service area, and LWC came plodding in for a break. It is seen here on that day.
