Eastern National
'Sold On' FLFs and VRs

Eastern National FLF LWC661C was new in June 1965 as 2835, and was withdrawn in 1980, passing in November of that year to Southdown Motor Services in Brighton, where it was cannibalised for spare mechanical parts. In September 1981, it was either sold or donated to Drusillas Zoo Park at Alfriston, Sussex, where it still resides as a "Zoo Lab", minus engine and other mechanicals.
In use daily, the lower deck provides activities for visiting children, while the upper deck serves as a lecture theatre. ENOC green is still intact inside too -with most vinyl re-covered seats still in place upstairs, and the "Time and Fare Tables" notice still downstairs.
