Eastern National
'Sold On'

One of the 1959 Massey-bodied Guy Arab IV buses purchased by Essex independent Moore's of Kelvedon, is seen here in Burbank, California, in March 1993. 20PVX passed to ENOC with the Moore's fleet in 1963, and was numbered 1046, then 2015 in 1964.
Sold on to dealer Norths of Sherburn in May 1975, then to Ensign (dealer) in Grays, the bus was exported to the USA to R.W.E. Swank & Associates in Orange, and then to the Butcher's Arms Public House in Burbank, by October 1980. When Paul found the bus on a trip to LA in 1993, the owner told him that the engine and transmission was now pure American - a Detroit Diesel and an Allison automatic. Recent news from John Lidstone in "Buses" reports that 20PVX is still alive and well in Las Vegas, Nevada, operating a free service between the Venetian Hotel and Madame Tussauds.
