Eastern National
'Sold On'

Ex-Westcliff pre-war K5G, AJN825 seen here just after return from repainting in January 2002. Following the near-terminal fire at Walton in December 1996, painstaking individual efforts by a group of First employees finally got her back on the road.
AJN825 was new to Westcliff in 1939, returned "home" during the second world war when it was loaned for nearly four years to the Bristol Tramways and Carriage Co (who gave it fleet number 3718), passed to Eastern National in 1955 gaining the fleet number 1269 and was withdrawn in 1960.
See the Bus & Coach Preservation Magazine, Jan 2003, for a full article on AJN825 by Richard Delahoy.
