WNO478 was one of a number of KSWs delivered to Westcliff Motor Services in 1953 but registered in sequence with Eastern National ones. Numbered 1423 when the Westcliff fleet was absorbed into EN, it became 2380 in the 1964 scheme.
It had a brief career as an open topper (see here) before withdrawal in 1971.

This picture was Peter's first ever bus photo. Taken sometime in the late 1950s, the bus had just brought the family to Thorpe Bay Corner for a trip to the beach.
