VG5541 the fantastic Bristol G is now ready for the road, well it will be once the registration details are sorted out.
I believe this is Roger's longest and probably most expensive restoration. He has had the details / adverts sign written by hand in gold leaf and I think that alone took the sign writer some 2 weeks to do. The advertisement on the other side is different from that shown and taken from black and white pictures. Roger even knows the photographer who was just 6 when he took the pictures. When I last saw it the upstairs seating was not in place but the workmanship that has gone into this restoration is just superb.
I'm weary of saying this will be on the road at such a time or such a year but I wouldn't be surprised if Roger was not thinking of taking it on the Ipswich to Felixistowe run next year, which means it will probably go to some local Midland events this year after Roger buys a suitable cover for the top which again I think will have to be bespoke. I'm one of the first in the queue to have a ride on this fine vehicle.
