Crossleys were never common on the South Coast but Eastbourne Corporation took eight in 1949 including 38, JK9995, a DD42/5 with East Lancs H28/24R body.
They were all withdrawn at the end of 1962 and the whole batch went to Marchants at Cheltenham.
Seen here on Seaside Rd at the junction of Colonnade Road. Pearsons tea rooms still exists as a bistro and the whole scene is unchanged today, sadly no Crossleys though.
