Ex-Greenslades Tours LTA629, an AEC Regal III 9621A with Duple A-Type C32F body, new to Devon General's Grey Cars fleet in 1950.
Owned at the time by Dave Sayer of the Mersey & Calder Bus Preservation Group's Yorkshire contingent, it had attended the HCVC London to Brighton Rally on the previous day, and having then been garaged overnight at LT's Shepherds Bush Garage was preparing for the long return trip to Halifax. With its 9.6 litre engine and crash gearbox it sounded absolutely marvellous. Dave later returned it to Grey Cars livery, since when it has changed hands a few times, and is thankfully still around and looking and sounding great.
