CIE D378, 378IK, was one of a large fleet of Leyland Atlantean PDR1A/1's fitted with their distinctive CIE/Metal Section H43/31D bodies, this one dating from 1970. In 1988, the newly-established Dublin Bus had its centre door removed, fitted it with a perspex roof, reseated it to H43/35F and reregistered it as 88D988 for use as a tourist bus to promote the city's Millenium.
