John Boylett Memorial Collection Part 2 - 1959

Photo © John Kaye. Please do not re-post without permission.

New in March 1948, Cumberland 246, GAO784, was one of ten Leyland PD1s with Massey L27/26R bodies new in 1948. It was rebuilt with radiused windows in 1955, withdrawn in 1960 and sold to Fleet Car Sales (dealer), Dunchurch in January 1961, passing to Askin (dealer), Barnsley for scrap in July 1962. It is seen here between two Leyland PD2s with infinitely superior bodywork.
