A pair of believed to be former Eastern National Bristol Ls, latterly having been used for staff transport by contractor Clugston of Scunthorpe. In the foreground is an L6B while in the background is a former Tillings LL6G.
Shown here being broken up on the premises of Jackson's of Bradford in 1969. It is interesting to note how having had most of its original full front removed - which had the concealed grille like the other in the background - it is revealed that these Queen Marys still had the conventional L-type bonnet and radiator underneath complete with badge, and were painted in Tilling Green.
Jackson's Yard was just round the corner from Bradford City Transport's Ludlam Street Garage and was always worth a visit when in the area - but strictly to be viewed from over the fence due to the threatening presence of a ferocious alsation tethered on a not too secure looking length of washing line !
