Ex-Blackburn Corporation 131, CBV431, a Guy Arab III with Crossley H30/26R body, new in 1949.
A somewhat incongruous sight - a Blackburn bus on the Sussex coast. The year was 1973 and 131 had by then passed into the ownership of Dave Glidden of the Mersey & Calder Bus Preservation Group. Whilst down in Eastbourne for a rally, the opportunity was taken to have a run up to Beachy Head, where it is pictured here. 131 later passed into the ownership of former West Riding driver and Guy enthusiast Ronnie Varley, but after changing hands again it seems to then have disappeared from the scene, though similar bus 133 is now a familiar sight on the rally scene once more.
