At Rottingdean, 14 April 1973, Southdown (ex B, H & D) Bristol Lodekka FS6G/E.C.W. 56, 4656AP, still carries its former owners livery and fleetname, the fleet number and legal lettering being the only tell-tale signs of Southdown ownership.
One of a trio delivered in 1963, Lodekkas 55-57 were the only vehicles in the Brighton fleet to gain the reversed index mark and were the last closed-top vehicles to be delivered with open platform and split level entrance step.
