Scarborough and District have used a variety of older vehicles on the Scarborough sea front service These have include a number of second hand purchases including this well travelled Bristol Lodekka which came from Yesteryear Travel of Hunmanby in 1990. The bus was a Bristol Lodekka FS6B with convertable open top ECW bodywork new to Brighton and Hove in 1962 as their 41, XPM41.
It passed to Southdown as their 2041 in 1969, then in 1978 it was sold to Lincolnshire Road Car who re-registered it as AFE170A. In turn they sold it to a dealer in 1984 and by 1988 it was in use with Yesteryear Travel. Numbered 670 by East Yorkshire it was eventually sold to a German company and is still resident there. It carried its Lincolnshire fleet number plate thoughout its sojourn with East Yorkshire as can be seen in this view of it on Scarborough bus park
