Bats about Brighton Buses

Southdown no. 2213, TCD600J, a 1971 Bristol RESL6G with ECW B37D bodywork swings round Old Steine, Brighton, in BH&D livery. This was one of three RESLs with the later curved windscreen to join the BH&D division.
Upon delivery this vehicle was initially numbered 600 and had Southdown green/cream livery but was transferred to the BH&D division and re-numbered and repainted - the only vehicle to ever be repainted from green to BH&D livery. Never popular with passengers due to their low seating and high standing capacity, the RESLs gained the nickname 'cattletrucks'.
