Despite the growth of one-man-operation in the 1970s Paton Brothers, Renfrew continued to buy second-hand double deckers for much of their contract work. Leyland PD2s with "Orion" bodies were plentiful: WCD53 in the foreground had come from Brighton Corporation, while MCO659 and NDR91 had been new to Plymouth. Tin-fronted LFS438 had been new to Edinburgh Corporation but had come via A1 Service and Silver Fox, Glasgow.
