West Yorkshire PTE 2469, TKU469K, a Leyland Atlantean PDR2/1 with Alexander L-type H47/29D body, new to Bradford City Transport as 469 in 1971.
Seen here on a one day loan from Bradford to Calderdale District at Halifax in September 1986 in order to assist with a vehicle shortage just prior to deregulation and the formation of Yorkshire Rider. It is negotiating the narrow Hubberton Green Road on the approach to Hubberton terminus having worked the 1630 564 trip from Halifax.
At one time only 27-foot buses had been allowed to operate to Hubberton due to the narrowness of the lanes around there, but then gradually 30-footers had been slipped on, and now here we see a 33-footer having a go - it would be quite a tight squeeze.
Later 2469 was sold to Fylde Borough Transport and rebodied as a single decker by Northern Counties.
