One of the famous Birmingham Tigers, 2255, JOJ255, photographed at Crich August 1971, Bank Holiday Monday.
Rap my knuckles, but I was looking on the Classic Buses site and found a reference to this vehicle. The writer (Ken Jones?) was unsure of the exact date & location. Lloyd Penfold wrote that he was a passenger on this vehicle and that the offside wing had been knocked off by a car on the way to Crich. This can be clearly seen in this photograph.
Photo taken by Margaret Gosling, long suffering wife of Andrew but shortly before the nuptials!, Monday 30 August 1971, Crich Tramway Museum
