Blue Line Guy Arab IV SWU876 crosses the level crossing in the centre of Goole on 19th August 1972. I have cropped the photo to show the unusual top edge to the radiator grille, which I have commented on John Kaye’s earlier view that I had assumed it to be a legacy of its Meadows engine - the original photo shows more of the scene and was taken quite late in the day with resultant rather flat lighting.
Goole was an interesting frontier town in bus terms, served by East Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and West Riding as well as this lengthy service from Doncaster via Thorne Moorends.
