Whilst all Scottish Bus Group fleets had Bristol FLFs to fulfill their flat floor needs, others also took the Albion Lowlander. Alexander (Midland) had 44 such buses delivered in 1963 and 1964 with Alexander bodywork on the LR1 variant. MRE17, TWG568, of Milngavie Depot is seen in the bus parking area of the Buchanan Bus Station in Glasgow.
The building behind the Fleetline is still there as the main building of the current bus station but where the Lowlander is stood is now along the line of Killermont Street and all the buildings visible behind it have disappeared under new development.
Whilst the bus still looks tidy for its age, it shows where conductors have used the slats of the grille to help in reaching the destination winders. The grille also carries the complete set of Albion badges.
