Seen leaving Victoria Coach Station in London and heading for Aberdeen, displaying Coach Number 1 on the service, is Alexander Midland, Falkirk MPD263, VWG403, a Leyland PSUC1/2 Tiger Cub with an Alexander C41F body new in 1963.
It was followed by a Western S.M.T. RELH (GAG90D) and a Scottish Omnibuses REMH (SFS368H) as coaches 2 and 3 on the service. Although I accept that this was not an ideal coach for the run to Aberdeen, I would have most definitely chosen it in preference to the alternatives offered that day.
