In 1948 W Alexander & Sons acquired 20 Leyland OPS2/1 chassis which comprised an order for New Zealand which had been cancelled. Consideration was given to bodying them as double-deck coaches but in 1951 they were finally bodied as C35F. All but three of the batch were rebuilt as standard PS1s in 1960 using parts from withdrawn PS1s and ten of the original batch came to Fife at the split. FPB18, DMS831, was one of these and was withdrawn in 1970 and scrapped by Muir's. It had been PB18 prior to its transfer to Fife.
